Tradefish Designs-Noteworthy

Hello! Today I am sharing two cards I made using the Noteworthy set from Tradefish Designs.
On the first card I used some calendar DP from Crate Paper.  I stamped the notebook paper in blue, on white cardstock and cut it out.  I stamped the "just a note" in black.  I paper pieced the pencil with Crate Paper DP and adhered it over the notebook paper.  I sponged white acrylic paint on the edges of my card and tied some denim twine from The Twinery around the bottom.

The second card uses the post it note from this set.  I stamped it on some yellow patterned paper and cut it out. I colored the thumbtack with a Copic marker. I had some thin corkboard so I cut a square out and used that as my bulletin board.  I added some staples to the corners and my sentiment, "don't forget" is from this set and the rest is made with Cosmo Cricket tiny type alphabets.

I think this set is perfect for making note cards for teachers.  The second card I will sneak into my son's backpack on his first day of 5th grade tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!

Where There Is Love...

Hello! Today I made a card with two challenges in mind.  The first is the CAS challenge over on SCS-to use kraft and bright primary colors on your card.

The next challenge is the ippity 1,2,3 challenge:
1 stamped image
2 different cardstocks
3 different patterned papers

My stamp is from the ippity set, Quotes a la Happy. I colored the heart and the "love" with copic markers after stamping it in Memento Rich Cocoa on a carstock tag.  I used three different Cosmo Cricket patterned paper strips behind the tag.  I sponged distress inks on the edge of my kraft card base and on the edges of my tag.  I added a vintage button from my stash over the hole in the tag.

This is a quick and easy layout that you could use for many different occasions, just by adding a different image or sentiment on the tag.

Thanks for stopping by today!

TradeFish Designs-You Are A Blast!

Hi, there!  Today I have a card using the TradeFish Designs set, Outta This World. I LOVE this set.  So much fun to use.  I used some patterned papers from Pink Paislee's Summer Days collection.  I stamped the solids stars with my old Bordering Blue ink from Stampin' Up.  I stamped the sentiment and the rocket ship in black and then colored the rocket ship with copic markers.  I matted the sentiment with some scallop and oval punches and tied some baker's twine around the bottom.
A great little card to give to one of my boys just for the heck of it!

CPS Challenge and The Stamps Of Life!

Hello! This week The Stamps Of Life is sponsoring the CPS challenge.  You can go HERE for all of the sketch details!  I used the guitars2play set and some Rock Star paper from Best Creations.  I pieced parts of my guitar with the same paper I used on the three background panels.  This will be the perfect card to give to my son this school year when he does something fabulous at school or in sports!

Have a Rockin' Birthday!

Hello!  Today I have a fun card for you using a sentiment from The Stamps Of Life set, guitars2play.  I thought it was perfect to stamp on a piece of Best Creations patterned paper from their Rock Star line.  I added a bit of baker's twine to the top, and because the paper has embossing and glitter on it, no need to over embellish! Easy Peasy!

This will come in handy for all of the little boy birthday parties we get invited to!

Thanks for stopping by,

FWF-Forever Thankful For You

Hello! TGIF....what a busy week!  Football practice, back to school shopping and enjoying the last couple weeks of summer break with my boys has worn me out.  I can't believe how much money I spent on school supplies for a kindergartner and a fifth grader! $102.00 to be exact.  That was JUST school supplies, too.  That is on top of the school fees and the buying of new backpacks!  Okay...enough griping and onto the card!

Today's card uses the ippity sets Thankful For You and Thoughts From The Past.  Both of these fab sets can be bought for  $12.00!  You can buy them from the sweet Noelle right HERE. You also get free shipping and free baker's twine with every order! Can't beat that deal!

This card was so easy to make.  I stamped my postcard image with antique linen distress ink and also inked the edges with the same ink.  I stamped my sentiment with Walnut Stain distress ink and lastly stamped the dragonflies in Baja Breeze (SU).  Easy peasy!

Tradefish Designs-Feelin' Crabby?

Hi, there! Today I have a card using a new release from Tradefish Designs called, Pass The Sunblock. I stamped the crab three times and then colored them with Copic markers.  I used my tiny bubbles Cuttlebug folder for the background panel and then wrapped several rows of baker's twine around it.  I think this would be perfect to send to someone in the hospital or to someone going through a rough time.  There are lots of summer time images in this cute set. Thanks for stopping by today!

Tradefish Designs and Kraft Outlet!

Hello! Today I am sharing a card I made for the Kraft Outlet "Anything Goes" challenge.  The only requirement is you must use kraft cardstock on your project to be eligible for any prizes.
I pulled out one of the new releases from Tradefish Designs called Outta This World.  This is one of my favorite sentiments and seemed to go perfectly with some K&Company Daydreams patterned paper.  I made my moon by embossing white cardstock with a Cuttlebug folder (not sure what it is called but it is an older one).

Hope you pull out some of your kraft cardstock and join in on the challenge!

Hello, zebra print!!!

Hello, zebra print!  I had fun making these flashy, trendy cards with two new sets from The Stamps Of Life-outline4letters and zebra2letter.  Both of the fun, print papers are from Hobby Lobby.  I simply stamped the outline alphabet first and then stamped the print alphabet over it.  It is super easy and quick with clear stamps. I am just wondering if Stephanie will come up with more fun patterns to stamp in the outline....Hmmmmm......
You also will want to check out Stephanie's new line of stamp pads for Clear Snap! The colors look fabulous and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new ink pads!  Can't wait to try them out.

Hope you all have a great Saturday. I will be at football scrimmages. So excited that football season is here.  For those of you who may not know, I am a HUGE football fan. Can't get enough of it.  Luke is playing this year and had his first scrimmage last night. So hilarious to watch 5 year olds play.  He actually did pretty good and was definitely not afraid to tackle or be tackled.  LOVE having boys!

Thanks for stopping by today.

FWF-Just Bee Cause!

Hello! I haven't participated in a Friends With Flair over at Unity in a while, so I decided to share this card I made for Tuesday's color challenge over on SCS.  I used papers and stamps from Garden Variety.  It is fun to pull out older stamps and papers and  use them.  Reminds you why you fell in love with it in the first place!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Tradefish Designs August Release

Hello! Today I made a card with a new release set from Tradefish Designs called, Outta This World.  It is super cute with lots of fun sentiments and space and sky images.  I just love the sun image in this set.  It is perfect for adding a button to the center and a bit of twine.  I used some DP from My Mind's Eye and Pink Paislee.  After I made this card, I realized it looks a lot like the Summer Fun contest banner that TFD has out.  Maybe that is where the idea for this card popped into my head!!!  It just goes to show you that inspiration comes from anything, anywhere, and at any time!

Back From the UP!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are well!  I just got back from a trip to the UP of Michigan.  It was very relaxing and a lot of fun.  I never like to share when I am out of town on the internet, but that is why I have been missing and not commenting on all of your lovely blogs!  Going to try to get caught up this evening.

I am really bummed because I am having a hard time getting a couple of photos I took for my blog to transfer. Very strange.  I wanted to show you the big mess of fish we caught on our last day.  I will keep trying...

Hope you all are well. I will be back tomorrow with the start of the Mark's Finest Papers August blog hop!

A Sympathy card...

Hi there! Today I am sharing a sympathy card I made using the branches4flowers set from The Stamps Of Life.  I stamped the branch in brown ink and then stamped the leaves in celery and rolled some of the edges in wild wasabi.  I also stamped several leaves and then cut them out.  I used foam dots to pop some of the leaves to add dimension.  I hadn't done any paper tearing in a long time, so I tore the bottom edge and inked it with antique linen distress ink.  I went through a paper tearing phase several years ago and tore the edges of everything! LOL!

For those of you who's blogs I follow, I promise I will be back to commenting regularly SOOOON!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Pirate's Life For Me!

Hi! No card today, but I couldn't resist sharing these photos of Max.  He loves pirates, and ever since we saw the recent Pirate's of The Caribbean movie, he has been dressing up in his pirate outfits every day.  He was really hamming it up for these photos!  He was playing the part of Jack Sparrow and Luke was Black Beard, however, Luke was not in a photo shoot mood!

Hope this made you giggle!

Tradefish Designs Spotlight-Movie Night!

Hello! Today I have a card to share using the Snack Time set from Tradefish Designs.  I think this card will be perfect for teacher gift cards at Christmas time!  The plastic popcorn container in the background is from Target's dollar bin (several years ago).  I like to make home made carmel popcorn or kettle corn wrap it up in a large cellophane bag, tie some baker's twine on top and and card with movie tickets.  They seem to be a big hit with teachers!

There are lots of yummy snacks in this set to make a variety of cards with.  I love the punny sentiments that go along with some of the snacks, too!  Go check out Tradefish Designs!

Thanks for taking a peek!

A little flower wreath....

Hello! Today I have a card using the branches4flowers set from The Stamps Of Life.  The moment I saw that little circle of flowers I knew I wanted to go for a "wreath" look.  I stamped it in red and then cut it out of white cardstock.  The gingham panel is DP from Melissa Frances.  I popped my flower wreath with pop dots and then stamped my sentiment in black on the gingham paper.
A simple card that could be given for a variety of occasions.
I hope you all are having a wonderful week. I know I am!  More on what's happening this week later!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Stamps Of Life-August Club Release!

Hello! Today is the first of the month, so that means a new club release from Stephanie at The Stamps Of Life! The name of this set is branches4flowers.  I LOVE this set! There are so many possibilites.  It comes with a variety of flower blossoms, both solids and outlines.  It also comes with the grass (seen above) and a wonderful twiggy branch (you will see a card I made with that this week, too).  Lots of wonderful sentiments and some leaves!
You MUST check it out!
Remember...you can still order the club set even if you are not a club member!  As a club member, you get TONS of perks such as freebies from Stephanie, storage folders for your stamp sets, and a 15% discount all the time on all stamps.  Shipping is ALWAYS $1 a set in the US, whether you are a club member or not.  There are so many FABULOUS things in store for The Stamps Of Life!  Keep your eyes peeled for announcements!
My card above is simple and  one layer.  I stamped the grass with wild wasabi ink and the flowers are in ballet blue.  I added some tiny rhinestones to the centers of the flowers and stamped my sentiment in black.  I think I may make a bunch of these for several different occasions.
